With over 1,400 pre-orders from 78 countries, the company has cultivated a thriving global community bound by a shared investment in the programme’s success. From daily factory updates to invitation-only owner events, the Hill experience is designed to be transparent, collaborative, and genuinely engaging long before the rotor turns.

A Global Community of Owner-Pilots

The pre-order ledger reads like a map of global ambition. The United States leads the order book, followed by the United Kingdom and Australia, with significant representation across Canada, Europe, South America, and beyond.

Of the 1,400-plus deposits, 1,036 are for the private HX50 and 412 for the commercial HC50. These are not passive customers; they are participants in General Aviation 2.0, many of whom have already met at Global Meetup events or connected via the Hill app to share aviation interests, business opportunities, and travel plans.

How the Pre-Order Works

The HX50 carries a base price of £675,000, while the certified HC50 is £795,000. The Hill payment structure is designed to be straightforward. Only the initial deposit is required at the point of order: £30,000 for the HX50 or £50,000 for the HC50.

The next payment, representing half of the remaining balance, falls due one year before your specific delivery date. At that stage, you finalise your exact configuration: wheels or skids, exterior colour, and options.

The final half of the balance is payable three months before delivery, at which point your aircraft enters its completion phase at PC1.

Delivery sequence is strictly tied to order date, meaning early commitments secure earlier aircraft. As production ramps up from 500 units in year one to 1,000 per year, demand is expected to outstrip immediate supply; joining the queue now secures not only a favourable position but, historically, the most advantageous pricing as well.

The Hill App

Once you join the programme, you are invited into the Hill app, the digital backbone of the owner community. The app delivers frequent factory updates along with video summaries from Dr Jason Hill himself.

More than a news feed, the app is a network: over 1,000 clients are active, turning the programme into a global forum for aviation enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and pilots who share a common language of rotorcraft.

Global Meetups and Discovery Events

Hill treats major development milestones as community occasions. Global Meetup and Discovery events bring owners to PC1 or regional venues to see the aircraft up close, meet the leadership team, and hear programme updates before they reach the public. A recent event hosted 600 owners in person, with additional audiences tuning in via live stream.

Every major phase of the build story is also documented on the company’s YouTube channel, which now holds more than 200 videos chronicling the journey from concept to cockpit. Public livestreams with open “Ask Me Anything” sessions, with over 35 held to date, ensure that even prospective owners can engage directly with the programme’s architects.

From Delivery to World Demonstration Tour

The community focus does not end at handover. The first three production HX50s are reserved for a worldwide demonstration tour, giving owners and prospective pilots the opportunity to see, hear, and eventually fly the aircraft in their own regions.
