As an Automation Engineer you will operate within the production engineering team and operations staff.


Key qualifications
    • Knowledge of automation and robotics.
    • Experience in programming automation systems and robotics in either Siemens, ABB or Schneider Electric.
    • An engineering Degree relevant to the role.
    • PLC Programming experience.
    • Fully competent in schematic drawings from concept design and development through to completion.
    • Demonstrated and proven background in robotic systems integration.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required for this role
Responsibilities
    • Own and manage the creation of automation solutions to support a new manufacturing facility from concept through to daily operation.
    • Design automation systems for the manufacturing and assembly line using robotics.
    • Create technical drawings using a CAD system using design specifications for automation elements including electrical and pneumatic schematics.
    • Co-ordinate the design cross functionally, as well as with external development partners and suppliers.
    • Lead prototyping, in-house development, testing through to supporting in production.
    • Ensure all concepts and designs are compliant with all relevant standards.
Additional requirements

The successful candidate would ideally have a degree in engineering or considerable work experience.  a creative approach and good communication skills. Capable of working alone, A robotics background is key.

This role requires a motivated, self-sufficient and fastidious engineer who is comfortable taking responsibility for delivery of both the complete analysis and analysis-led optimisation of key aircraft systems, while working effectively as part of our multi-disciplinary team.
