Jason Hill draws attention to the way the pilot-owner of a light helicopter has tremendous freedom in terms of where they can take off and land. Clearly you don’t necessarily need an airport – this is one example of why much of the avionics that are intended for conventional airplanes aren’t needed or suited to a revolutionary aircraft like the HX50.
Thus the decision to design a digital cockpit from the ground up, just like every other aspect of the HX50, with the emphasis on the VFR pilot being able to reach those sought after and even remote destinations while enjoying a smooth and uncomplicated flight experience.
